House of the Dragon filmed in Spain

Three long years since the end of the mighty Game of Thrones, we will finally be able to escape back to George RR Martin’s fantasy world of warring tribes, political intrigue, and fire-breathing reptiles with the arrival of House of the Dragon.

Spain is featured predominantly throughout House of the Dragon, specifically two towns in the Extramadura region of the country, Cáceres and Trujillo, which are, per Cosmopolitan, used for many scenes set in King’s Landing. The locations were previously used in Game of Thrones for King’s Landing in season 7.
